What credit card offers the best incentives?

I’d like to explore credit card options. I hear people talking about airline miles, or cash back based on their purchases. We currently have a card that offers a minimal cash bonus — but I think we can do better.

Any recommendations? We don’t want to pay an annual fee.

They are a few out there that offer good rewards, it all depends on what your interest is, I personally have a miles card which gives me miles for every purchase I make up to 5 miles per dollar, if I don’t use the miles I could redeem them for items such as magazines, giftcards and other things, check out http://www.fastcreditcardapprovals.com/ here you will find a few good choice there are also other sites out there that will help you compare them side by side.

I have a delta skymiles card and I find it very useful as we travel alot, and get extra miles if we book with delta. We also get 2 miles per dollar. No annual fee. Cash back ehh, I never had a cash back card, but I have heard that the miles card is better.

Meredith, like Jon says…a lot of it really comes down to what you are looking for, or want…and the card values. Maybe you’d get a Delta American Express for sky-miles; a Visa for rewards some place else; and even a Discover for it’s cash back program.

It seems like that you & your husband like to eat out & travel, so maybe one that has the best airline mile program would be best. I wouldn’t be surprised if one of the major restaurant chains doesn’t offer a card as well, but it would probably require you use the reward program at their locations.

My former boss was a motorcycle nut, and he carried a Harley-Davidson Visa…and everyone in the company that had a company credit card, also carried a Harley-Davidson Visa, so you can guess where he picked-up all the points. That really got one of the managers upset, as he wanted to use his Bass Pro Shop Visa for company expenses (or it might have been a MasterCard) and turn in receipts and get reimbursed! LOL!! My daughter got a Disney card, as they go every few years or so, and thus are able to take advantage of that program.

Remember to balance the rewards vs. the interest rate & and yearly charges to see what your best all around value is.
