What is the best credit card (see below for specifics)?
I have excellent credit.
I want to have a card that has a good, secure website for billpay and management.
I would like a good interest rate for transfering a balance from my other card.
I want a good permanent interest rate.
I have a capitol one card now and I hate it. I never lets me use the online bill pay and my brother has had multiple problems with his also.
I received an offer from my insurance company for a visa that has a 2.9% balance transfer rate until Oct. 2009, and a permanent 9.9% interest rate on purchases. It also has online account management and does not have an annual fee.
Does this sound like the best offer or do you know of better ones or cards you are really pleased with?

Are there credit cards with no interest rate or fees for 6 months?
I see that there are several credit cards that offer 0% APR for 6 or 12 months, but what exactly does that mean? I already have 3 credit cards, but I pay them off in full every month so I’ve never paid attention to fees.
Right now I’d like to buy a laptop for school, and pay it off in 6 months but I don’t want to pay any extra fees or interest rate in this period, is this what 0% introductory APR cards are for? And are there any hidden fees I should watch out for?
Thanks.

Is transferring the balance of my credit card to a 0% APR card going to hurt my credit?
I have tried asking this in different ways, but I think it would be best if I just lay it all out there, and hope that it helps.
As of now, the balance on my credit card is ,077.85. The limit on this card is ,300. I do not plan on using the card any further. I got custody of my young brother last year, and this card was mainly used for Christmas, as our fund were low (I know, bad idea). Since I realize now that it wasn’t the way to go, I’m trying my best to fix it. I have, and continue to pay my card on time, way more than the minimum payment. In the past year and a half I have only made one late payment, by three days. I know that it is still a late payment, and will still reflect on my credibility.
However, I am having one awful time with customer service on this card. It took me months to get them to remove some type of payment protector I never asked for. Each time I call they feed me a line, and in the end, my questions are never answered. I’m tired of it, and would like to move on.
My father in law asked me if I had thought about transferring the balance on my card to a new one with 0% APR for 12 months, and a low to none transfer fee. In fact I have, but I wouldn’t know where to start. Keep in mind that this is my first and only credit card.
I don’t plan on cancelling the card, but rather it will not be used. I want this balance paid off in the easiest way possible, but honestly the interest rate on my card is killing me – 19.99%. I know I have myself in a hole, but I have seen worse. I don’t want to get to that point – where I can’t pay it at all.
When/if I transfer my balance to a new card, which company charges me for transfer fees, if any? Is transferring the balance going to be hard on my credit score? If it is, how long might it take to repair it?
Thanks so much for any advice.
Please bear in mind that when I applied for this card I was not educated in things such as interest rates and such….which is why my card isn’t all that great. And yes – that interest rate is before this missed payment (they haven’t hiked it up).
Thank you SO much everyone! I kept reading responses to other questions saying that it would hurt your credit to do this, and that I shouldn’t even consider it. I don’t plan on using either card anytime soon, as I really do not need them now anyway. Like I said before, the issues I’ve had were of my own doing, because I was not educated well in this area.
I understand it much better now though, and I greatly appreciate all your help!

Who offers the best credit card?
My current credit card is charging me 23% interest because I got it back when I didn’t have much credit. Now my credit score is like 740 and my credit card company won’t work with me on their crappy interest rate so I’m trying to find a better one. I’m mainly looking for something that is accepted pretty much everywhere (I travel for work) and has the lowest possible interest rate. I guess rewards are a bonus, but I don’t care too much about that if it means a higher interest rate (which, from what I understand it usually does).
Edit: I know I should pay it in full every month, but I’ve had it for 5 years now and I always end up carrying a balance. I know it’s not the smartest way to do things, but I also know that I can mitigate some of the damage from my stupid decisions with a lower interest rate.
Also, my current credit card is payed off right now, so switching cards will be no big deal.

Bank won't lower credit card interest rate?
I have a VISA credit card through my bank. I called to see if they would lower my interest rate and I was denied. I am paying a 24.5% rate. The representative on the phone said I would have to keep calling back to see if there were any special interest lowering offers; but these offers are never advertised.
Can anyone tell me what could get my interest rate lowered or how I can find out about these special offers?
Which Credit Card Companies offer the best interest rate?

Looking for a credit card with over 3000 limit with a low interest rate?
I have a credit card with a 3000 limit and I actually have 3189.64 on it. It had more on it because fees hit fees and fees fees fees etc. Basically got kicked out of my house and lost my job and it was the only way to pay bills till i started getting new paychecks (so I dont need a story about how not to use credit cards because its better then living in the street) Anyway I have another credit card with about 345.85. The second credit card has a 500 limit and 0% apr. The big one has like 39% or something crazy so its very hard to pay the bill and actually lower what I owe them(My minimum is anywhere from 100-200) So Im looking for a card that I can pay off this card with that has a lower Interest rate. My credit isnt very bad but its not very good. The last I heard from a car dealership was I just didnt have enough credit(about a year ago). So does anyone know a good credit card for my situation?
What is the best credit card for monetary rewards?
I am looking for a credit card where I can get a lot back in rewards (cash) with no catches. My current card offers a tier structure — .25 percent first 1,000, .50 percent second 1,000, .75 percent third 1,000 and 1 percent after.
I know there are better credit cards out there (such as 1 percent right away or 3 percent for gas and groceries, etc.).
What is considered the best card for rewards. Interest rate doesn’t really matter, since I pay my cards off right away anyway.
